John Raynor, a 44-year-old man from Montville, New Jersey, was arrested last Thursday after allegedly crashing his 2008 Honda Accord into the playground of Valley View School. Fortunately, no children were present at the time of the crash.

The officers who responded say that Raynor acted violently, punching and kicking his vehicle, and that Raynor resisted arrest, threatened to kill the responding officers, and spit on one of them. Further investigation later found that Raynor was under the influence of narcotics at the time of the incident.

After subduing Raynor, police transported him to St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, and later to Morris County Jail. Raynor remains in jail in lieu of $25,000 bail on charges of threats to kill, aggravated assault, driving while under the influence in a school zone, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and driving without insurance.
